The body of this shirt is constructed without any seams and is only darted at the sides for shape. These shirts were inspired by seamless canvas sacks that were manufactured in the 19th century to transport grain by rail. Seamless bags were woven as cylinders, making it nearly impossible for them to burst open. These long sleeved shirts are made of light weight Japanese cotton and finished with handmade porcelain buttons produced in the designer’s mother’s pottery studio.
