Inspired by shirts worn by field hands in South East Asia, this item is made from Japanese cotton and is ideal for layering. The white porcelain buttons are hand cut by the designer’s mother at her pottery studio in Toronto. Each hole is manually pierced and all the buttons are finely sanded to achieve the final desired aesthetic. When the clay has dried, the buttons are fired for 10½ hrs. at 1240°C / 2264°F.
